Dear Partnering Agencies,

 

You and your clients continue to be in our thoughts during these difficult times. As Covid-19 continues to spread, the future has never felt so unpredictable. These are challenging times for us all, and we hope you’re in good spirits and health!

 

Right now, we’re doing everything possible to sustain daily operations and provide services to our community. While there’s a lot of uncertainty, we know that we need to adapt fast to our changing reality.

Our website is a resource for you and your clients.  There is a lot of good information under the Partner Agencies tab. Remember, you can submit referrals directly from the website!

 

We are excited to share some changes happening at our Nest!

  • New Expanded Hours effective July 7, 2020

    • We will be open for donations and shopping Tuesdays through Fridays from 10:00am to 4:00pm.

    • For donations only, we will also be open every Saturday from 9:00am to noon.

  • Re-Opening to Case Managers and Clients

    • Starting July 7th you will have the option to either shop in person with your client at greeNest or virtually through our website.

    • Our goal is to transition to 95% on-site shopping by August, 2020

      • We understand that some clients will not be able to come in person for various reasons, so the option to shop virtually will still be available after August. Your support will be needed for us to continue to offer this online shopping option.

      • In Person shopping protocols

        • Only (1 )client per referral will be allowed in the building, accompanied by (1 ) Case Manager

        • When you arrive, you will wait in the foyer where we will take temperatures and a brief health assessment before entering the showroom

        • Masks must be worn all the time by all who enter greeNest. We can provide masks if needed. 

    • Regardless of how shopping is done (in-person or online) payment and transportation must be confirmed prior to the appointment.

  • Speaking of transportation

    • We have created the “greeNest Furniture Delivery Assistance Program.” This program will provide a one-time $50 voucher to clients who must pay for moving services out of their pocket

    • At this time, we have 2 local companies that have agreed to participate in our program.​​

    • How it will work:

      • greeNest Program Manager will confirm the need for assistance with the Case Manager of the partnering agency.

      • If the client chooses to accept the voucher, he/she must schedule their moving appointment with one of the approved movers.

      • Once the appointment is scheduled, greeNest will confirm with the moving company that we  will pay $50 of the moving cost. The client is responsible for paying the remainder of the moving fee.

      • The moving company will invoice greeNest for $50 and greeNest will pay directly to the company.

      • Funds for the voucher program are dependent on grant funds. The program will be suspended when all funds have been spent.

  • Mattresses

    • We are now working with Goodwill in addition to Habitat ReStore for mattress options for your clients.

      • The cost will not change. It is still $90 for a mattress and box spring

      • Having these 2 options helps to guarantee that we’ll be able to have a mattress set available for your clients
